A young mother and her 6-year-old daughter were among the three people killed in a Halloween night crash in Richardson. Seven more people were hurt in a chain-reaction crash that shut down U.S. Highway 75 near the Plano/Richardson border for about nine hours.
RICHARDSON, Texas – Three people, including a young girl and her mom returning from Halloween celebrations, were killed in a chain-reaction crash on Thursday night.
Richardson police said the chain-reaction crash involving seven vehicles happened just before midnight in the 3400 block of the North Central Expressway near the George W. Bush Turnpike intersection.
A Lexus SUV slammed into the back of a Cadillac SUV that had stalled in the southbound HOV lane. A Dodge car then hit the first two vehicles, and that crash caused additional collisions involving a Nissan car and an 18-wheeler. Plus, two more vehicles were damaged by debris.

In total, three people were killed, and seven more were hurt.
The driver of the Lexus, 27-year-old Haley Taylor, and her 6-year-old daughter both died at the hospital.
